Hello! After a long time I’m reviving the “news batch” series of posts aimed more on telling you “what to look forward to” than telling you about the very fresh news.
The DVD of the horror movie titled “Fuyu no Kaidan ~Boku to Watashi to O-baa-chan no Monogatari~” starring Yajima Maimi and Fukuda Kanon was released on 6th of January. Personally I will be watching it no matter how trash-ish it would be for the sake of Maimi\Kanyon goodness.
And you can of course order it(if your a fan of such movies).
Choose whatever shop you like(or what ever shop is more convenient for you in terms of shipping price or stuff like that).
And also on 6th of January the 11th single of ℃-ute titled “Shock!” was released. I think I won’t express my opinion in the news post, so I’ll leave that to you – besides everyone has one’s own opinion.
Left to right – Regular edition, Limited Edition, Single V
You can still buy(if you want) the regular edition and single v, but I’m not sure about the limited edition.
Mano Erina released her 2nd photobook on 20th of January. There’s already couple of previews(as well as the cover) and there’s a digest of the DVD(Mano Guide) on - Dohhh UP! –
And I’d say there is something to see there <3
Manoeri’s cute as always – so there’s nothing I add to this. Just enjoy the previews(thanks go to people from JPH!P for finding them and uploading).
These are from UTB and there are also from the actual photobook if you look for them.
And if you want to support Manoeri and buy her photobook – you can do it either at YesAsia or atCDJapan or at Amazon or at HMV or at whatever other shop you know. The prices are pretty much the same – though at CDJapan it’s a bit cheaper and YesAsia already includes the transportation costs into the price.
Buono! are to release their 10th single on 3rd of February it is titled “Our Songs”
Also on 10th of February,Morning Musume will unleash yet another bunch of limited editions(and one regular) for their “Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai” 42nd single.
Also on 24th of February, ℃-ute are to release 5th album titled “Shocking 5″ no covers are available yet – I’ll probably post up about it as soon as there’s more info available.
On 25th of February, 8th Photobook of Kamei Eri is to be released. Also not much info is available currently except its title “Sweet”. As usual – there also would be the DVD for this, on 3rd of March. Title is still TBA.
Also on 3rd of March, Berryz Koubou 22nd Single(double-a side again) is to be released.
The title is “Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda! / Otakebi Boy WAO!”
So that’s pretty much all of the January-February(plus couple of March) announced releases. I will post the March releases news batch as well as additional info upon the titles that are still without much info at all – as soon as more info will be known.
Hello! Today I want to congratulate Erina on her 18th birthday. Now that she has made her major debut singles, I wish her luck on this path. I wish her to overcome all difficulties that might come on her way, I wish her to make even more fans and to be as happy as always.
Hello. As you may already now, Mano Erina is to release another major single. It’s titled “Hajimete no Keiken” and it is to be released on 20th of May. Honestly, I wasn’t able to watch the PV yet, but I’ll stick a youtube video here, so you can watch it right on. And of course it’s from Dohhh UP! site, so you can - click here - and watch it there. Either way, enjoy yet another cute Manoeri PV. Douzo.
Update: I watched it! First of all, I think it’s an improvement from Otome no Inori, that’s my own opinion and some may not agree. The PV is alive. It has a lot more action in it than in the previous one. And it features Eggs as back-dancers, which is also a plus and adds up to en-living the PV up. So the PV itself features Erina coming through different summer-ish experiences, probably that’s why the song is called “Hajimete no Keiken” – which means roughly “First Experience(s)”. Next on the list, of course Mano piano – just like in anything else, she also plays the piano here, but with other expression, it’s much more like having-fun face, and not her usual really-concentrated one, which is, I suppose, also an improvement. As for the song itself, Erina as always sings in her cutey-pitched voice(which I personally like) and which sounds better and better with each single. The music is an up-beat, and as for the lyrics – they’re pretty cycled up, with some sprinkles of fully-fledged verses, but overall it’s really catchy.
So that’s I think pretty much everything I can say if dried-up. As for feelings… [fan-boy-mode] Manoeri rullz and no Ayaya can stop her!!![/fan-boy-mode] Ahem.. so now I probably angered lots of Ayaya fans, my apologies.
Hello! I found this article on Barks and decided to translate it. It contains nothing new, it’s just some kind of a news-review of H!P Wonderful Hearts winter 2009 concert and of upcoming Tsuji Nozomi’s return. But it’s somewhat interesting to Shimizu Saki and Yajima Maimi fans, because they are quoted here.
This article is still property of Barks, so if you want to read the original and if you want to get some more pictures(there’s a lot of them there) you can go to Barks. Click -here- if you want to see the article, or -here- if you want to see the pictures.
And now on to the article.
Popular groups gathered for “Hello!Pro January Public Performance” which already raised its curtains.
Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, C-ute, Mano Erina and others gathered for Hello!Project’s traditional January performance, which raised its curtains at Tokyo Nakano Sun Plaza, on 2nd of January.
It is titled “Hello!Project 2009 Winter Wonderful Hearts public performance ~Kakumei Gannen~”(Revolution First Year) this time, also such groups as: Buono!, Shugo Chara Egg!, Tsukishima Kirari staring Kusumi Koharu, MilkyWay, selection from Hello!Pro Eggs and others performed at the concert, which includes 26 songs overall and was aprox. 2 hours long.
Performed by all members, Morning Musume song “Resonant Blue” raised the curtains of this live performance, followed by Tsukishima Kirari staring Kusumi Koharu with her new song “Happy☆Happy Sunday~!”(to be released on 4th of February); Morning Musume 38th Single “Naichau Kamo”(to be released on 18th of February); these songs were first introduced in front of all the fans. Furthermore, some experimental shuffle groups were made out of some Hello!Project members, these groups performed some songs on stage. At the next performance, during the intro part of the song, fans let out a loud shout of surprise, when they saw Natsuyaki Miyabi-chan short hair cut, which was, as some fans said, something fresh at this public performance.
Furthermore, we asked Berryz Koubou “Captain” Shimizu Saki concerning this event’s title. “What kind of a revolution do you want to rise in 2009?” “Even though I turned 17, I can’t cook at all, so I want to make it a ~Cooking Revolution.~” – she answered. We gave the same question to C-ute Yajima Maimi “It’s ~Appliance Revolution~. I’m really hopeless when it comes to appliances. Sometimes I don’t even know how to use my own mobile phone, which I always carry around, like when I receive a mail from someone, I see an address and not a name. I know that there’s some settings for this somewhere, but I don’t know where, and when I received “Happy New Year!” mail, and I didn’t know who sent it to me, it was a disaster.” – she told us a very girlish episode.
This public performance will be held until 5th of January in Nakano Sun Plaza and then the same performance is to be held on 18th of January at Osaka Kouseinen kinkaikan(Osaka), and on 25th of January at Chuukyou Daigaku Bunka Shiminkaikan(Aichi). This live tour is entitled “Kakumei Gannen”(Revolution First Year) and we expect that in further on activities in year 2009 Hello!Project’s own revolution will be sped up.
Later this month, on 31st of January and on 1st of February, two days in a row, at Yokohama Arena, yet another concert will be held, titled “Hello!Project 2009 Winter Kettei! Haro☆Puro Award ’09 ~Elder Club Sotsugyou Kinen Special~(Hello!Project 2009 Winter Hello!Pro Award ’09 ~Elder Club Graduation Commemoration Special~) at this concert, as was announced, Tsuji Nozomi will also be officially returning to activity. Because of her marriage and childbirth her activities were suspended, her last appearance before fans in April 2007 at one of the events, and up to this day it will be already 1 year and 9 months of her inactivity.

Berryz Koubou 18th single is to be released on 5th of November. It’s title has been already announced and it’s “Madayade” which is supposedly Kansai-ben(dialect) word standing for “Not yet”(thanks to Ayabiefor pointing this out).
On 12th of November we will see two releases at once. First is DVD with concert footage from C-ute’s concert “Wasuretakunai Natsu” and second is Buono’s new single – “Lotta’ Love Lotta’ Love”
As for Buono single it’s an ending theme for new season of Shugo Chara, which is called “Shugo Chara Dokii” first episode of it was aired today, at 9:33(Japan time) and so there we could already hear both – new single of new unit “Shugo Chara Egg” and new single from Buono!
It has already been posted at youtube, so you can see and hear it. As always, I’ll embed it here.
Shugo Chara Dokii opening
Shugo Chara Dokii ending
I really enjoyed these both – I hope you will enjoy them too. I’m looking forward to the releases.
May I remind you that Shugo Chara Egg’s new single will be released on 10th of December.
But let’s get back a bit to 21st of November. Tsugunaga Momoko’s new photobook(which still has no title…) is to be released at this time.
Later on – 26th of November, only recently announced C-ute’s new single is to come. No more information available at this time…

DVD with Morning Musume’s musical collaboration with Takarazuka “Cinderella the Musical” will be released on 3rd of December. You can preorder it on cdjapan.co.jp
As I’ve said earlier – 10th of December is the release date for Minna no Tamago – Shugo Chara Egg’s debut single.
Concert DVD with Berryz Koubou concert “Berikore” will be released on 17th of December.
And also on 17th of December - new Kusumi Koharu’s album is to be released.
That’s almost all news for today. Though I probably missed something – but it’s either too far away, or somehow slept past me. As soon as something new comes by – I’ll post it here immediately.
It’s 2:04 in the morning in my country. And I’m truly sorry that I didn’t have time to make the posts I’ve promised… I apologize to you for making you all readers to wait that long… I will post them as soon as I have some more time… And while you wait – I’ll give you some links to Melon Greeting vol.4 footages from Dohhh UP!
The uniqness of this single is that Erina herself plays the piano, which we can hear in the song. The single contains two tracks: Mano Piano and Mano Piano Instrumental.
Unfortunately, the album was availiable only at the handshake event and it is now being sold in some H!P shops, which means that there will be no overseas orders.
The cover of this single is simple, it features Mano Erina with large white with pink title and a bit smaller white letters with artists name and pink kanjis, with her name again. I liked it, because Erina looks very cute here. And also I liked it, because it’s made like this, nothing more, nothing less.
The song features the same simplicity as the cover does. It’s steady and yet beautiful song. Erina has a very kawaii-type voice. At JPH!P forum some people said that Erina sings too nasaly and with no expression or emotion. Well… I didn’t actually hear neither nasal voice(it was really kawaii-like), nor the lack of emotions, but this is only my opinion. I think she tries her best at this. And also I know how hard it is to play on the piano and sing at the same time, so I don’t think that we should blame everything on Erina.
I really liked that song and I hope to see more from Erina in future.
For your convinience I’ll embed two video-streams from youtube.com – one from the live handshake event and another – the single itself.
Live Event(sorry – no video, only pictures slideshow)
